Marjorie Licht is originally from New York City. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science and holds a Certificate in College Advising from UCLA. She is also an active member of SACAC (Southern Association for College Admissions Counselors) and IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association).
Marjorie has worked as an independent college advisor since 2014 and believes that finding the right academic and social fit is essential to a successful college experience. She works closely with students and their families to ensure they feel informed, supported, and fully engaged throughout the college planning and application process.
In addition to advising high school students across the United States, Marjorie also supports college students pursuing graduate education. She specializes in admissions for allied health programs, including medical school, physician assistant programs, nursing, and PsyD programs, as well as law school and master’s programs in the humanities. Marjorie understands the distinct differences between undergraduate and graduate admissions and brings in-depth knowledge of application requirements, timelines, standardized testing, and résumé expectations.
Marjorie’s three grown children have attended a range of public and private universities and graduate programs, each chosen for its best fit, further reinforcing her belief in a personalized approach to education planning.
